Sharron started playing the harp at the age of ten in her native Wales, gaining early experience as principal harpist with the National Youth Orchestra of Wales. Whilst studying at the Royal Northern College of Music, and as a Postgraduate at Trinity College of Music, she performed with the Britten Pears Orchestra, British Youth Opera and the Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra. During this time, Sharron was awarded the United Kingdom Harp Association Award, The David Dunn Award Yorke Trust & the St Marylebone Educational Foundation Award. Following her studies, Sharron has pursued a successful and varied career for many years in London and currently in Glasgow.

Sharron has appeared as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician in recitals both on the concert platform, recording and radio broadcasts, playing at many prestigious concert halls all over the World including the Royal Albert Hall and the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam. She works regularly with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Scottish Opera and Northern Sinfonia. Sharron has also freelances with several national orchestra’s, including the BBC Symphony Orchestra, Liverpool Philharmonic, RTE National Orchestra of Ireland, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Royal Ballet Sinfonia and Northern Ballet Company. She has also held harp positions on West End and Touring Musicals along with playing for many pop and film sessions, including sessions at the famous Abbey Road studio's.

Sharron is a keen chamber musician having played at various venues and festivals including the North Yorkshire Moors Festival, Manchester Midday series and the Queens Hall, Edinburgh. being a member of the newly formed, Solway Trio. A flute, viola & harp trio with RIchard Blake, principal flute of Scottish Opera and Jane Atkins, principal Viola of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. She also plays frequently as a flute & harp duo with various different flautists, Paragon Ensemble and the Scottish Voices

As a function harpist, while she was based in London, Sharron held residencies at The Landmark Hotel, The Trafalgar Square Hilton and The London Wetlands Centre. She has also played regularly at many London Hotels including the Hilton Park Lane, Langham Hilton, Waldorf Hotel, Carlton Tower Hotel and Harrods and for events throughout the South-East including The Victoria and Albert Museum, Madam Tussauds, The Tower of London, Hampton Court, Earls Court, Warwick Castle and at the top of the BT Tower. Since re-locating to Glasgow recently, she has played at many venues across Scotland including Airth Castle, Doune Castle, Marr Hall and Dundas Castle.

Sharron is a busy harp teacher with many private students and has held the post of harp teacher at many Schools and Colleges including The Godolphin School, Salisbury, Haileybury College, The Latymer Saturday Music Centre and The Milton Keynes Music Service. Most recently Sharron teaches music students from The Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama, Glasgow and Edinburgh Universities and was the harp tutor on the National Children’s Orchestra of Scotland.

Sharron has most recently been working with the Scottish opera's education project "a little bit of..." a 20 minute version of various famous operas featuring harpist, cellist, storyteller, singer and a black theatre box with illustrations used to recreate the opera experience. This is a portable project done in Kamisibai style of Japanese story telling, which they are taking to places where you would least expect to find opera., and has seen her playing in all sorts of venues across Scotland including Ikea, museums, hospitals, pubs, coffee shops, warehouses, book festivals, farms, shopping centre's, car parks and the project has just made it's debut at T in the Park and the Belladrum festival.
